Population-specific codes of conduct, and where to report
At a general level, the administrative response to misconduct is overseen by different administrators, depending on the campus affiliation of the individual whose conduct is at issue. You can direct reports of alleged misconduct to these administrators/offices.
- Students: Code of Student Conduct, overseen by the Center for Student Conduct.
- Faculty: Faculty Code of Conduct (APM section 015), overseen by the Vice Provost for the Faculty.
- Non-represented ("PPSM") staff are covered by the Personnel Policies for Staff Members, overseen by Central HR ("People & Culture")'s complaint resolution procedures.
- Represented employee conduct is covered in their union contracts, overseen by the Academic Personnel Office (academic appointees) and Employee & Labor Relations (non-academic staff).
As detailed in the next section, for certain types of conduct, other offices will handle the report in its early stages. It is most efficient to make a report directly to the relevant offices. However, your report should be routed to the correct recipient no matter where you submit it.
