IT: access, software, cybersecurity

"Information Technology" (IT) covers a lot of areas. Most of the information you will need can be found on the campus Information Technology website.

  • The campus Information Technology website, overseen by the campus Associate Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO), is a resource for information about email, campus networking and wifi access, software, remote access, and more.
  • The Information Security Office, within the office of the CIO, is a good place to start for information about data security protocols, response to vulnerabilities and security incidents, and more.
  • All employees are assigned cybersecurity training on a regular basis. As an academic leader, you can exhort your employees to complete this training, offered through the UC Learning Center.
  • All new students and employees will need a Cal1Card to access buildings and other resources.
